IT & Systems Officer

We are seeking a technically proficient and solutions-oriented IT & Systems Officer to oversee IT infrastructure, business systems, network operations, and technical support. This supervisory role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the company’s IT systems, supporting daily operations, supervising technical activities, and implementing technology solutions that enhance operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the company’s IT infrastructure, including computers, networks, servers, internet connectivity, and related equipment.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and IT systems.
• Manage and maintain business applications, including property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, booking platforms, and other operational systems, as applicable.
• Monitor network performance, system availability, data backups, and cybersecurity measures to ensure business continuity.
• Implement and maintain IT security protocols, access controls, user permissions, and data protection procedures.
• Provide technical support and ensure timely resolution of IT-related issues across departments.
• Supervise IT-related projects, system upgrades, installations, and technology implementations.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers regarding technical support, maintenance, procurement, and system improvements.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, system inventories, user accounts, licenses, and technical procedures.
• Establish IT policies, standard operating procedures, and guidelines for the proper use of company systems and equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology, automation, and system integration.
• Monitor IT expenses, equipment requirements, and maintenance costs and recommend appropriate technology investments.
• Guide and supervise assigned IT personnel or external technical support providers, ensuring timely and quality service delivery.
• Conduct user orientation and training on company systems, software, and IT security practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, data privacy requirements, cybersecurity standards, and applicable regulations.
• Perform other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant IT experience, preferably with supervisory or team coordination responsibilities.
• Experience in network administration, hardware and software troubleshooting, systems maintenance, and IT security.
• Familiarity with hospitality systems such as PMS, POS, booking platforms, and related integrations is an advantage.
• Knowledge of data backup, access management, cybersecurity practices, and data privacy requirements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee IT projects, prioritize technical issues, and manage external service providers.
• Willingness to provide operational support as needed, including during weekends, holidays, or urgent system incidents.
