IT & Web Developer Assistant

We are urgently seeking a proactive, tech-savvy IT & Web Development Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will bridge day-to-day internal IT support with hands-on website maintenance, updates, and digital asset management.

This position is ideal for an entry-level to mid-level web developer or IT professional looking to expand their technical capabilities in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Web Development & Content Management

• Assist in updating, debugging, and maintaining company websites, e-commerce stores, and web portals.
• Implement front-end updates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks.
• Assist with Content Management System (CMS) administration (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, or custom platforms).
• Optimize website performance, page load speeds, mobile responsiveness, and basic on-page SEO.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure smooth user experience.

IT & Systems Support

• Provide day-to-day technical assistance for office hardware, software, network setups, and peripherals.
• Help troubleshoot email, domain, hosting (cPanel), SSL, and DNS configurations.
• Maintain regular website backups, database archives, and system security hygiene.
• Manage user accounts, system access permissions, and basic IT asset inventories.
• Perform other ad-hoc IT, technical, or administrative tasks as required by company operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (equivalent practical experience/portfolio also welcome).

• Technical Skills:

  • Solid foundational knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Working experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, WooCommerce, or Shopify).
  • Familiarity with web hosting fundamentals (cPanel, FTP, DNS records, domain management).
  • Basic knowledge of UI/UX standards and responsive web layouts.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for Windows/macOS operating systems and office networks.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and fast problem-solving ability.
  • Clear verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
