IT Application Engineer (ERP)

Application Development and Modernization:

• Design, develop, and deploy modern business applications using Svelte/SvelteKit and related web technologies based on business requirements.
• Maintain and enhance legacy FileMaker solutions during the transition period while gradually migrating business functions to Svelte-based applications.
• Optimize application and database performance while ensuring data integrity, security, maintainability, and scalability.

Requirement Analysis:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new database solutions and enhancements
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design documents
• Provide recommendations for improvements, enhancements, and phased replacement of legacy FileMaker solutions with modern web applications.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough te4sting of applications, integrations, and migrated functions to ensure functionality, usability, reliability, and data accuracy.
• Identify and address bugs, errors, and performance issues through troubleshooting and debugging
• Perform quality assurance checks to verify compliance with design specifications and user requirements.

Documentation and Training:

• Create documentation, user guides, technical specifications, and training materials for new applications, ERP-related workflows, and migrated systems.
• Train end users on how to use developed applications and ERP-related system functions effectively and provide ongoing support as needed.
• Maintain documentation of application structures, database schemas, workflows, integrations, configurations, and migrations activities.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end user for developed applications, FileMaker legacy systems, ERP-related workflows, and integrations issues.
• Respond to user inquiries, resolve problems, and escalate complex issues to higher- level support teams or vendors as necessary.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.

General:

• Undertake other duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned by the company from time to time with on time full closure.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must processes at least a Diploma, Advanced/ Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience in application development, preferably with Svelte/SvelteKit, JavaScript, and other programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python; FileMaker experience will be an added advantage during system migration and support.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Strong knowledge of modern web application development, including Svelte/SvelteKit, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, API integration, and database-driven application design.
• Experience with ERP systems, business process workflows, system integration and data migration is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
