IT Application Officer

About the role

Manage and support business applications and the lifecycle to ensure system availability, performance, and continuous improvement. Analyze business requirements and deliver application solutions, enhancements, and system integrations that support business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 application support by troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely resolution
• Monitor application performance, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure system security, stability, backup, and recovery processes
• Collaborate with business users on requirements gathering, implementation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and post-implementation support
• Manage user access, maintain application documentation, and ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and audit requirements
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve business processes and user experience

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Accounting Information System, or a related field
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Application Support, Business Applications, ERP, or a similar role, including at least two end-to-end ERP or enterprise system implementations
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, SQL, ERP/business applications, and system integration
• Experience in application troubleshooting, UAT, vendor management, and stakeholder collaboration
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• ITIL Foundation or other relevant certifications are an advantage
