IT application operation specialist

Role Description The IT Application Operation Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and support of business applications used across the organization. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring application performance, handling incident and service requests, and providing technical support to internal users. The specialist will troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors or internal IT teams for resolution, and document fixes and procedures. Additional responsibilities involve analyzing application-related problems, suggesting improvements to business processes, and assisting with updates, testing, and deployment of new features or applications. The role requires clear communication with stakeholders to translate technical findings into practical recommendations.

• Candidates should possess Application Support and Technical Support skills to manage incidents, resolve user problems, and maintain application stability.
• Candidates should possess Information Technology knowledge to understand system architectures, integrations, and core IT operations.
• Candidates should possess Business Process understanding to align application functionality with operational needs and recommend process improvements.
• Relevant experience in IT operations, application administration, or helpdesk support is beneficial.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and basic database or log analysis is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting are essential.
• A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
