IT Application Ops (F&B)

Definition

Develops, tests, and maintains server-side application logic, APIs, and database integrations under the guidance of senior developers. Focuses on writing clean code, fixing software bugs, updating technical documentation, and supporting system validation and release deployments.

Job Responsibilities

1. Backend API Development & Database Integration

• Develop and maintain backend logic, RESTful API endpoints, and database queries.
• Perform database integration and write unit tests to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Ensure API performance, data accuracy, and system integration meet technical requirements.

2. Solution Architecture & System Design

• Collaborate with senior developers and relevant teams on module design, function boundaries, and database query optimization.
• Contribute to technical discussions to ensure scalable and maintainable backend solutions.

3. Frontend & Backend Integration

• Work closely with frontend developers to align API response formats, payload structures, and authentication mechanisms.
• Support seamless integration between frontend applications and backend services.

4. Code Review & Troubleshooting

• Participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality and follow development standards.
• Assist senior developers in root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting system defects.

5. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Solution Validation

• Review UAT feedback and defect logs to identify issues requiring backend fixes.
• Implement bug fixes and patches based on testing results and technical requirements.

6. Deployment & Release Support

• Support release preparation, including build artifacts, deployment scripts, and staging environment configuration.
• Assist in maintaining deployment pipelines and resolving issues during staging releases.

7. Business Requirements & Technical Documentation

• Review approved user stories, database schemas, and technical specifications before development sprints.
• Ensure backend development aligns with business requirements and agreed technical documentation.

Specification and Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Programming, or a related field. Fresh graduates with strong portfolios are welcome.
2. 1+ years of software development experience or relevant internship experience.
3. Foundational knowledge of backend development frameworks, database queries, and server-side logic.
4. Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and REST API integration.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn under senior developer guidance.
6. Commitment to continuing education in computer programming
