IT Assistant / IT Support

Ming Hing Waterworks Engineering Co. Ltd is a premium integrated waterworks engineering, technology and investment company. The Group principally engages in the provision of project management services, maintenance and construction works for civil engineering projects on waterworks & drainage, roads & highways and slope upgrading services in Hong Kong. Founded in 1967, the Group has grown to establish itself as a major waterworks engineering service provider in Hong Kong, accountable for ensuring dependable water supply to the community.

Given increasing project work in Hong Kong and China, Ming Hing is inviting high calibre applicants for the following positions to join its present team of professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day IT support for office staff and remote site offices (hardware, software, network, CCTV and peripheral troubleshooting);

Liaise and contact directly with different internal departments and service providers to gather information and clearly communicate status;

Provide IT administrative support and documentation support including project documentation, technical and user manuals etc;

Purchase software & IT hardware;

Manage computer equipment inventory (Software and Hardware);

Maintain engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit/BIM software, Primavera P6, Rhino, etc.);

Ensure smooth and secure remote connectivity between the Head Office, regional offices, and temporary construction site offices;

Oversee server maintenance, data backup routines, disaster recovery plans, and knowledge in cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS);

Evaluate & propose solution for IT system improvement to management;

Control Innovation product as assigned; and

Assist ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:
Diploma or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines;

3 years / 5 years solid IT experience, preferably in engineering field;

Experience in troubleshooting of various systems and network problems including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, DHCP, etc.;

Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills;

Good team player, self-initiative and pro-active and able to work under pressure;

Knowledge in video editing is an advantage; and

Immediate available is highly preferred.
