IT Assistant Manager (MNC)

About the role

An established multinational manufacturer specialising in precision-engineered components and advanced manufacturing solutions is seeking an experienced IT professional to manage its technology infrastructure, strengthen information security and support ongoing digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT operations, including infrastructure, networks, servers, business applications and user support
• Ensure the availability, performance and security of IT systems across manufacturing and office operations
• Lead IT projects, system upgrades and digital improvement initiatives
• Manage cybersecurity measures, user access controls, data backups and disaster recovery procedures
• Coordinate with internal departments to identify technology requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
• Supervise IT support personnel and ensure technical issues are resolved promptly
• Manage external vendors, service providers, software licences and maintenance agreements
• Monitor IT budgets, procurement requirements and asset management
• Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, system documentation and business continuity plans
• Support enterprise systems and ensure smooth integration between business applications and operational processes

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in IT operations, infrastructure management or enterprise systems
• Experience supervising IT teams, managing vendors and coordinating technology projects
• Strong knowledge of networking, servers, cybersecurity, backup systems and disaster recovery
• Familiarity with enterprise applications and technology requirements within a manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of IT governance, data security and business continuity practices
• Strong troubleshooting, project management and stakeholder communication skills
• Previous experience within a multinational manufacturing company will be advantageous
