About the role

The IT Associate-Technical Support is responsible for providing first-level technical assistance to employees and ensuring the proper operation of the company's computers, peripherals, software, network connectivity, and other IT equipment. The position handles the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic support of IT hardware and software while ensuring that user concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. The role also assists the IT team in maintaining reliable day-to-day IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Timely and effective resolution of first-level technical support concerns
• Proper installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and software
• Reduce user downtime caused by technical issues
• Proper deployment and setup of IT equipment
• Accurate IT asset and technical support documentation
• Regular preventive maintenance of IT equipment
• Proper escalation and follow-up of complex technical issues
• Provide good user support and customer service
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards

Job Description:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Experience in technical support, helpdesk, desktop support, or a similar IT role
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking
• Troubleshooting skills for computers, printers, internet, and network connectivity
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an IT team
