IT Associate

1. JOB SUMMARY

IT Associate is responsible for managing and supporting Point of Sale (POS) systems and sales monitoring compliance for percentage-paying merchants. Ensures accurate POS reporting for group compliance and mall operations, provides technical support to merchants and corporate users, administers mall IT equipment, prepares IT budgets, and coordinates with Ayala Malls Group IT to maintain efficient and reliable IT operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer and monitor compliance of percentage-paying merchants with sales reporting and POS submission requirements.
• Manage and maintain all Point-of-Sale (POS) applications, systems, and network connections across the mall.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of POS sales reports to the Ayala Malls Group Compliance Team and Mall Operations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for merchants’ POS-related concerns, including supervision and administration of POS IT equipment.
• Oversee the inventory, deployment, and maintenance of mall POS and corporate IT hardware and peripherals.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget for IT systems, equipment, upgrades, and related operational requirements.
• Deliver helpdesk and technical support services to mall corporate users, ensuring minimal system downtime and prompt issue resolution.
• Supervise and administer mall corporate IT equipment and coordinate closely with the Ayala Malls Group IT team on system standards, upgrades, and issue escalation.

C. KEY RESULTS AREAS and OUTCOMES

1. POS Compliance & Sales Reporting Accuracy

Ensure accurate, complete, and timely POS sales reporting of percentage-paying merchants in compliance with Group and mall requirements.

2. POS & IT Systems Reliability

Maintain stable and secure POS applications, network connections, and corporate IT systems to support uninterrupted mall and merchant operations.

3. Facilitate and/or assist with the connectivity of POS terminals of new merchants to Ayala Malls POS Network. This includes, but not limited to, assisting with accreditation of merchant's POS provider, ensuring that all requirements in relation to POS accreditation have been submitted, providing necessary information to connect to POS network, successful transmission of POS sales to Ayala Malls POS Consolidator, etc. before store operations.

4. User & Merchant IT Support

Provide timely and effective technical support to merchants and corporate users, resolving POS and IT issues within agreed service levels.

5. IT Asset & Budget Management

Properly administer IT equipment and resources, including inventory control and budget planning, in alignment with Group IT standards.

E. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ATTRIBUTES:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
• At least two (2) years of experience in IT field as technical support (Hardware & Software)
• Knowledgeable in POS and hardware troubleshooting is preferred.
• With good communication skill and able to multitask.
