IT Associate- Switch System

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated IT Associate to join our Switch System Department and support the operation of critical ATM Switch and electronic banking applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, testing, and supporting ATM switch systems to ensure maximum system availability, transaction reliability, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Testing Teams, Operations Teams, Vendors, and Service Providers to support production operations, system enhancements, project implementations, and deployment activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Support

• Monitor ATM Switch applications and interfaces to ensure high system availability and stability.
• Perform first-level and second-level troubleshooting for production incidents.
• Investigate application errors, transaction failures, and system issues.
• Escalate critical incidents to appropriate internal teams and external vendors.
• Track incident resolution and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
• Support daily operational activities and production issue resolution.

System Monitoring and Operations

• Monitor ATM transactions, switch connectivity, host interfaces, and application performance.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain monitoring dashboards, incident logs, and operational reports.
• Assist in performance monitoring and capacity planning initiatives.

Project Implementation and Testing

• Participate in project planning and solution discussions.
• Assist in business requirements assessment and solution validation activities.
• Review functional specifications and technical documentation.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and regression testing.
• Validate end-to-end transaction processing and interface functionality.
• Document test results and coordinate defect resolution.

Change Management and Deployment

• Track change requests and enhancement activities for ATM Switch applications.
• Maintain project and implementation status reports.
• Assist in preparing deployment plans, implementation checklists, and release documentation.
• Support production deployments, system upgrades, and application releases.
• Perform post-implementation validation and monitoring.

Process Improvement

• Analyze operational and business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Recommend automation and efficiency initiatives.
• Participate in root cause analysis and preventive action planning.
• Develop and maintain support procedures, operational guides, and documentation.

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare incident reports, project updates, and management reports.
• Maintain system documentation, workflows, interface mappings, and support materials.
• Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues and resolutions.

Qualifications/ Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience

• At least 1 to 3 years of experience in application support, system administration, banking systems, or ATM-related applications.
• Experience supporting ATM Switch systems, electronic banking applications, payment systems, or transaction processing platforms is an advantage.
• Experience in incident management, testing, deployment, and production support activities is preferred.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Preferred candidates should have experience or familiarity with:

• ATM Switch systems and transaction processing environments
• ATM and electronic banking operations
• ATM connectivity protocols such as NDC, NDC+, DDC, and ISO 8583
• SQL queries and database fundamentals
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Application monitoring tools and ticketing systems
• Windows and Linux server environments
• APIs, middleware platforms, and host-to-host integrations
• Incident, change, and problem management processes
