IT Audit Sr. Specialist

Job Purpose:

The IT Audit Specialist is responsible for conducting audit field work and performing procedures based on the audit work program. The IT Audit Specialist interacts regularly with the audit clients during the engagement.

Job Specifications:

OPERATIONAL ROLE

· Adheres to the requirements of the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association’s IS Audit and Assurance Standards and The Institute of Internal Auditor’s Code of Ethics when performing engagements

· Performs audit procedures in accordance with the IT audit program, prepares the audit working papers and drafts the audit report. IT audit work will usually include:

o Testing IT general and IT application controls

o Review of IT policies and procedures

o Data analytics using computer-assisted audit tools and techniques

o Pre-implementation and post-implementation reviews of new business systems or major changes to business systems

· In keeping with the quality assurance and improvement plan (QAIP), uses prescribed forms in documenting work done and proactively consults with the Assistant Manager for IT Audits when audit work program or instructions are unclear

· Exemplifies due professional care when conducting audit assignments by reviewing work done

· Employs the technical conventions of language (spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc.) correctly in preparing audit working papers and drafting audit reports

· Follows IAD policies and procedures and employs recommended practices

· Interacts regularly with audit clients in performing engagements

ADMINISTRATIVE ROLE

· Performs other jobs based on policies and procedures and other related jobs as requested
Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Internal Auditing, Accountancy, Business Administration Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant is an advantage
• One (1) year in IT Audit and one (1) year in the retail industry
