IT Business Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst with a strong background in Banking, Finance, or Merchant & Payment solutions to support high-impact enterprise technology initiatives for a leading global systems integrator.

In this role, you will act as the vital bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. You will gather, analyze, and translate business operational needs into functional software requirements, user stories, and process flow models within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Engineering & Documentation: Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops with stakeholders. Draft and manage comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRDs), User Stories, Use Cases, and Change Requests (CRs).

Process & Data Modeling: Analyze current-state workflows ("As-Is") and design optimized future-state models ("To-Be") using process flowcharts, data flow diagrams (DFD), user journey maps, and data mapping specifications.

Bridge Technical & Business Teams: Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications for development and architecture teams, ensuring mutual alignment on project deliverables.

API & Integration Scoping: Collaborate with technical teams to define functional specs for system integrations, payment gateways, microservices, or API interfaces where applicable.

Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Sprint ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Demos, Retrospectives) and maintain prioritized backlogs using tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Testing & Quality Assurance Support: Assist QA teams in defining acceptance criteria, review test scenarios/cases, conduct functional testing, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to secure business sign-offs.

Client & Stakeholder Management: Prepare product demonstrations, conduct proof-of-concept (POC) sessions, deliver end-user training manuals, and support post-go-live audits to ensure successful adoption.

Must-Have Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.

Domain Experience (STRICT MANDATE): Minimum 3+ years of professional Business Analysis experience directly within Banking, Financial Services, Merchant Acquiring, or Payment Processing (e.g., core banking systems, loan origination, bulk payments, CRM, or payment gateways).

Requirements Analysis Techniques: Proven expertise in analyzing requirements through Use Cases, Scenarios, User Stories (with acceptance criteria/Gherkin), Business Rule Analysis, Process Diagrams, and Data Mapping.

Agile Expertise: Hands-on experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or Azure DevOps.

Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting capabilities with a track record of gap analysis, issue triaging, root cause analysis, and UAT coordination.
