IT Clerk

I. Job Summary:

Setup, installs software, monitors, and maintains IT related hardware including maintaining network connectivity.

II. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensures correct setup of IT equipment and software installations.

2. Ensures monitoring and maintenance of IT related hardware.

3. Ensures stable network connectivity.

4. Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of respective workstation.

III. Job Tasks:

1. Performs setup and installation of operating system and applicable applications for newly acquired computers.
2. Performs operating system updates and upgrade.
3. Performs preventive maintenance for IT related hardware.
4. Provides technical support to end users.
5. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair IT related hardware.
6. Coordinate with the supplier and monitor IT equipment for outsourced repair.
7. Install and maintain functioning LAN/WAN and other networks.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems, such as connectivity and performance,
9. Document the request and repairs in the Problem Report and Change Request Form (PRCRF).
10. Update and maintain IT equipment history.
11. Update and maintain IT equipment inventory
12. Monitor IT, Security and Communications equipment and update the status in the Daily Monitoring Logbook.
13. Maintain service logs.
14. Conduct 5S.

IV. Skills Required:

1. Technical Skills

• Needs technical skills and experience with variety of network protocols, software, and hardware. This requires troubleshooting, analytic, and diagnostic skills. Can work extended hours in case of network failure or project implementation.
• Knowledge and experience on computer hardware such as desktops, laptops, printers, UPS, computer peripherals, operating system, and network connectivity.
• Knowledge on windows server operating systems, MS Office, Hyper V, NAS (Network Attached Storage), iSCSI, shadow copy, bitlocker, active directory and domain controller, DHCP, DNS and Global Policy Objects.

V. Qualifications:

1. Graduate of any IT related 4-year course
2. Preferably Graduate of BS Information Technology or BS Information System
