1. Key Responsibilities:

• Verifying all requirements are included and ready prior to the activity date including basic configuration in coordination with Wipro.
• Making sure Field Engineer (FE) reaches on time and coordinate with Wipro to get access to the site
• The Field Engineer will carry a laptop with Internet connectivity, console cable, label printer and basic screwdriver set along with a flash drive >2 GB for hardware mounting.
• FE will perform racking and stacking and mount the network device in the prescribed racks as per the instructions provided by Wipro remote team (Rack details etc.)
• FE will connect the cables (patch the cables) and SFP's as per guidelines from remote team
• FE will power the network devices and share the console access after setting up VTY line access to remote team
• FE will join the bridge for remote configuration assistance of network devices/cabling movement etc.
• FE will label the network devices with assigned hostnames shared by remote team
• Conduct a physical inspection of all installations for alignment, finish, and sturdiness
• Making sure no left-overs at the site post installation of the devices and activity conclusion
• Obtaining formal client sign-off and acceptance
• leaving the site upon getting confirmation from the remote team after successful migration
• Sending migration status, completion mail after each deployment with attached checklist, evidence and time for field engineering support
• A before and after image of the rack must be provided and shared with the Wipro team

2. Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in network support or IT field services.
• Understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, Wi-Fi).
• Experience in providing hands-and feet support for network installations and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with SDWAN and enterprise switch environments.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

3. List of Activities:

• Unpack device and perform physical health check
• Confirm the serial number
• Upgrade/Down grade IOS and load basic configuration provided, under the instructions of Wipro Level 2 teams, label devices
• Keep the devices back in packet or rack it as per plan
• Do Network cable labelling for easy port connection identification
• Uninstall old devices from rack
• Unpack and install new devices in old device's position in the rack
• Stack new devices
• Uplink patching, additional cabling will be done by HSBC cabling vendor before cutover
• Repatch network cables to new switch according to port mapping table provided by Cisco and the instructions of Wipro Level 2 teams
• Assist in network connectivity testing and provide console access when necessary
• Assist in Erasing the configuration for old devices after local IT confirms UAT testing, provide log and put old devices in local storage room/handover to site POC.
