IT Computer Operator

SUMMARY

This position primarily functions as a I.T. Computer Operator for Affiliated Foods Information Technology department. The I.T. Computer Operator answers calls from staff members and customers located in over 6 different States while striving to provide first-call resolutions. This position utilizes experience and professional judgment to determine the best approach for issue resolution or escalating the issue to other staff members as necessary.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work up weekly mailers and reports to go out to customers.
• Develops a working knowledge of the computer system and telephone systems.
• Assist customers with product information, order placement, and order placement issues or order issue resolution.
• Maintains IT Operations to provide support services with the objective of delivering first-call resolutions.
• Provides SUPERIOR customer service and completes work while exercising strong work ethic and integrity.
• Assist customers in assessing their individual needs.
• Follow company policies and procedures for handling customer inquiries and complaints.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SHIFT

Friday 11pm-7am, Saturday and Sunday 7pm-7am, Monday 11pm-7am (4 Days on, 3 Days off)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Position requires knowledge of and technical experience with IBM iSeries System and Microsoft Windows (Word, Power point, Excel, Etc.), Customer service experience, ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Lifting and carrying 50lbs consistently.
