Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to assess their current IT environment and identify opportunities for improvement across system design, network architecture, and security protocols.
• Develop comprehensive solutions utilizing cloud services such as AWS and Azure, ensuring scalable and reliable infrastructure deployment.
• Design, implement, and maintain system architectures that incorporate virtualization (VMware, ESXi), containerization (Kubernetes), and microservices frameworks.
• Configure and manage network components including VPNs, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, load balancing, and service-oriented architecture (SOA) to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Integrate various systems using APIs, web services (SOAP, REST), and databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
• Automate deployment pipelines with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, continuous integration practices, and scripting languages including Bash shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, Ruby on Rails.
• Provide ongoing system administration support for operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix), ensuring system security through information security best practices and regular debugging.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including VPNs, firewalls, DNS/DHCP management, load balancing techniques.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for deploying scalable solutions.
• Strong command of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) along with NoSQL options; experience with T-SQL and PL/SQL is a plus.
• Expertise in programming languages including Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, C++, Ruby on Rails; familiarity with web development technologies like CSS and XML.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and VMWare vSphere; container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of system architecture principles including service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices design patterns.
• Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), DevOps practices including Jenkins automation server and Git version control.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues through debugging techniques across multiple operating systems (Windows/Linux/Unix).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity measures including VPN setup, firewall configuration, information security protocols.

Pay: £25,420.00-£67,129.77 per year
