Location: London | Hybrid

Salary: £90,000 to £100,000 + Private Healthcare and Benefits

We are partnering with a leading international organisation to recruit an IT Controls Manager for a highly visible, group-wide role.

Operating across a diverse portfolio of autonomous businesses and brands, the organisation has developed a Technology Controls Framework to establish clear and consistent standards for how technology is managed.

The framework is already well developed. The priority for the IT Controls Manager will be gaining stakeholder buy-in and helping different businesses adopt and embed the controls in a practical, proportionate way.

This is not a traditional audit or compliance-policing role. Success will come through collaboration, coaching and influence, helping technology teams improve control maturity while recognising that different businesses may use different technologies and operating models.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, adoption and maturity of the Technology Controls Framework.
• Build trusted relationships with divisional technology leaders, coaching teams on practical implementation.
• Translate control requirements into clear, measurable processes that balance minimum standards with local business needs.
• Develop evidence-based assurance, maturity assessments and annual technology risk reviews.
• Manage control exceptions and report clearly on performance, risks and improvement priorities.
• Partner with Cyber Security and Internal Audit while championing a supportive, non-bureaucratic approach.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience embedding and maturing technology controls within a large, decentralised or multi-brand organisation.
• Evidence of improving fragmented or inconsistent controls through collaboration, coaching and influence.
• A pragmatic approach to translating governance requirements into practical, sustainable processes.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001 or ITIL.
• Credibility with technology leaders, engineering and service management teams.
• Experience partnering with risk, cyber security and audit functions without being primarily audit-led.
