IT Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior IT Development Manager to lead software development teams in delivering large-scale enterprise and retail technology solutions. This role requires a combination of technical excellence, people management, stakeholder engagement, and customer-facing consulting capabilities. The successful candidate will drive development strategy, mentor development teams, design scalable solutions, and ensure successful project delivery aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage software development teams delivering enterprise-grade applications and digital platforms
• Drive application modernization initiatives, including legacy system transformation, cloud migration, microservices adoption, and API-driven architectures
• Define and govern software architecture, coding standards, development frameworks, and technical best practices
• Review solution designs and ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability
• Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies, development frameworks, and industry best practices
• Establish automated testing strategies and testing governance across unit testing, integration testing, automated regression testing, performance testing, and continuous testing
• Manage and mentor software engineers, technical leads, architects, and development teams through technical coaching, capability development, and succession planning
• Engage directly with customers, business stakeholders, vendors, and executive sponsors to lead technical workshops and solution presentations
• Manage project delivery across scope, schedule, quality, risks, and budget in collaboration with Project Managers, Architects, QA Leads, and Infrastructure teams
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and build trusted advisor relationships with customers and stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Software Development
• Minimum 5+ years in Technical Leadership or Development Management roles
• Strong experience in software architecture design and enterprise application development
• Strong knowledge of modern software development methodologies
• Experience leading development teams of 5–10+ members
• Good English communication skills (Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Presentation)
• Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills
• Strong experience in Java / Spring Boot, .NET Core / C#, Node.js, Python, Flutter, React, Angular, TypeScript, or REST API
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins
