IT Development Officer (Mosaic Migration Project)

Be Part of a Transformation That Makes a Difference

Pembrokeshire Social Services is embarking on one of the most ambitious and important digital transformation projects in its history, and we're looking for a talented IT Development Officer to join us on this exciting journey.

We are replacing our current Social Care Case Management System, Eclipse, with Mosaic—a modern platform that will help shape the future of social care delivery across Pembrokeshire. This is more than a system migration; it's an opportunity to create technology that genuinely supports our social work teams and improves outcomes for the people they serve.

If you're passionate about data, systems development, and using technology to make a real-world impact, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the project team, you'll play a key role in the successful migration from Eclipse to Mosaic, working with technical specialists, business users, and system suppliers to ensure a smooth transition.

You'll be involved in:

  • Supporting the migration of data and business processes to the new Mosaic platform.
  • Developing, testing, and maintaining system integrations, reports, and databases.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Analysing and resolving system and data issues.
  • Helping to ensure the integrity, quality, and accessibility of social care data.
  • Contributing to one of the most significant IT and business change programmes within Pembrokeshire Social Services.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a motivated and technically capable individual with experience working with enterprise systems supported by SQL-based databases, including:

  • Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
  • PostgreSQL
  • Oracle Database

Experience with Business Objects, PowerBI reporting and analytics tools would be highly desirable.

You'll also bring:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience of developing or supporting business-critical applications.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • A proactive approach and enthusiasm for driving positive change through technology.

Why Join Us?

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a high-profile transformation programme that will directly support frontline social care services.

You'll have the chance to:

✅ Work on a major digital transformation project from start to finish.
✅ Develop valuable skills in a leading social care platform.
✅ Make a tangible difference to the way social care is delivered across Pembrokeshire.
✅ Collaborate with dedicated professionals who are passionate about improving services for vulnerable people.
✅ Leave a lasting legacy through technology that supports both practitioners and the communities they serve.

Ready to Make an Impact?

Join us and help deliver a modern, innovative case management system that empowers our workforce, improves efficiency, and enables better outcomes for the people of Pembrokeshire.

Apply today and become part of the team shaping the future of social care technology.
