IT Engineer

IT Engineer in a manufacturing environment is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving the organization’s IT infrastructure, production systems, and industrial technologies. The role ensures high system availability, cybersecurity, and seamless integration between enterprise IT and shop-floor operations.

Job Description / Responsibilities

1. Ensure IT systems, computers, and network environments are secure and compliant with company IT policies and standards.

2. Collaborate with HQ and sister companies in China to support SAP implementation projects.

3. Manage and administer servers, printers, access door, SIP phone systems, network infrastructure, and end-user devices to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT services.

4. Provide continuous support for on-premise and cloud-based applications such as Microsoft 365, attendance systems, and web-based intranet applications.

5. Perform computer maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive support for hardware and software issues.

6. Set up new user accounts and disable expired or terminated accounts in accordance with HR and IT requirements.

7. Monitor system performance and perform regular backups and patch updates.

8. Work with external vendors for system support, upgrades, and issue resolution.

9. Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.

    Requirements and Skills

    1. Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or any related qualifications.
    2. Knowledge in maintaining Database (e.g. SQL Server).
    3. More than 3 years, preferably in manufacturing environment.
    4. Ability to interact at all levels.
