About the Role

StarAshiyana Construction Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and dependable IT Technician to manage day-to-day IT support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain computer systems, and ensure smooth functioning of the company's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

1. Hardware & Software Support

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues.
• Install and update Windows, MS Office, antivirus, and other authorized applications.
• Maintain records of IT assets, repairs, and software licenses.

2. Network & Internet Management

• Troubleshoot WebCam LAN, Wi-Fi, router, and internet connectivity issues.
• Assist in configuring network devices, switches, and routers.
• Ensure stable connectivity for office systems and authorized users.

3. IT Troubleshooting & User Support

• Provide technical support to employees for day-to-day IT issues.
• Resolve email, login, printer, and system performance problems.
• Support employee onboarding and exit by setting up or disabling system access as authorized.
• Escalate complex technical issues to external vendors or senior IT personnel.

4. Data Security & Backup

• Ensure antivirus protection and regular system updates.
• Assist with data backup and recovery procedures.
• Follow company policies for passwords, access permissions, and data confidentiality.
• Help prevent unauthorized software installation and access to company systems.

5. IT Inventory & Maintenance

• Maintain an inventory of computers, accessories, printers, and other IT assets.
• Coordinate repairs, replacements, and warranty claims with vendors.
• Conduct periodic system maintenance and maintain service records.
• Ensure IT equipment is properly allocated and returned during employee transitions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Hardware & Networking, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support or technical troubleshooting.
• Practical knowledge of Windows operating systems, MS Office, printers, and computer hardware.
• Basic understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and TCP/IP networking.
• Knowledge of antivirus, data backup, and basic cybersecurity practices.
• Good troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience providing IT support in an office or industrial environment.
• Ability to independently resolve routine technical issues.
• Good coordination skills with employees, management, and external IT vendors.
• Willingness to provide support across office and site locations, if required.

• Timely resolution of IT support requests.
• System and network uptime.
• Accuracy of IT asset inventory.
• Timely completion of preventive maintenance.
• Compliance with data security and software licensing policies.
• Employee satisfaction with IT support.
