IT Engineer

Duties

• Develop and maintain robust virtualization environments utilizing VMware, Server Virtualization, and Cloud Infrastructure platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Design, implement, and manage distributed systems architecture to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Automate deployment processes and system configurations using scripting languages like Python, Bash (Unix Shell), Shell Scripting, and APIs integration.
• Monitor system health using advanced IT monitoring tools; troubleshoot issues related to Linux and Windows operating systems, network infrastructure, and server administration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to support SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes including system design, deployment, testing, and maintenance.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support for complex infrastructure problems involving virtualization, system troubleshooting, network connectivity (VPN), and cloud services.
• Manage server infrastructure including operating systems such as Linux and Windows; optimize performance through system tuning and resource allocation.
• Implement automation strategies for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows to improve efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure operational continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with strong foundational knowledge in IT infrastructure engineering.
• Proven experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and server virtualization concepts.
• Hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure management with AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Linux administration including shell scripting (Bash/Unix Shell), UNIX systems, and operating systems management.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture, network infrastructure (including VPNs), APIs, and system troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, SQL, Oracle databases, and Shell Scripting for process automation.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines; knowledge of SDLC methodologies is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical teams across diverse projects in an Agile setting.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
