Role - IT Enterprise Architect

Experience

• 37 years of overall IT experience

• Exposure to Life Insurance systems is strongly preferred

• Experience working in:

• Application development

• Business analysis

• Integration / middleware teams

• Core insurance system projects

Education

• Bachelors degree in Engineering / Technology / Computer Science
• MBA (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture Documentation & Analysis

• Create and maintain architecture artifacts:

• Application landscape diagrams

• Integration flows

• Data flow diagrams

• System dependency maps

• Document ASIS and TOBE architectures under guidance from senior architects.

• Maintain architecture repositories (Confluence, SharePoint, LeanIX, Sparx EA, etc.).

2. Solution Support to Projects

• Support solution design for projects in:

• New Business & Underwriting

• Policy Administration

• Claims & Servicing

• Digital channels (customer/agent portals)

• Assist in creating:

• High-level solution designs

• Interface specifications

• Non-functional requirements (NFRs)

• Coordinate with development, testing, infra, and security teams.

3. Life Insurance Domain Support

• Understand and map life insurance business processes:

• Proposal Underwriting Policy Issuance

• Endorsements & servicing

• Claims lifecycle

• Commission & payout flows

• Translate business requirements into technical views (with guidance).

4. Architecture Governance Support

• Assist in architecture reviews and compliance checks.

• Validate project designs against:

• Enterprise standards

• Technology guidelines

• Security and IRDAI compliance requirements

5. Integration & Data Analysis

• Analyze API and integration requirements between:

• PAS, CRM, portals, payment gateways, reinsurers, aggregators

• Assist in defining:

• API contracts

• Event/message flows

• Data ownership and data movement

• Support data architecture documentation (logical models, source-to-target mappings).

6. Vendor & Technology Evaluation Support

• Help evaluate vendor solutions (PAS, digital platforms, analytics tools).
• Prepare comparison matrices, RFP responses, and PoC documentation.
• Coordinate with SI partners for technical clarifications.

Technical Skills (Working Knowledge Expected)

• Understanding of:

• Application architecture

• APIs, REST, JSON, basic microservices concepts

• Databases (RDBMS basics)

• Familiarity with:

• Core insurance platforms (LifeAsia, Ingenium, etc.)

• Cloud concepts (Azure/AWS basics are enough)

• Ability to read and understand:

• Architecture diagrams

• Sequence diagrams

• Technical design documents

Tools & Artifacts

• Diagramming tools: Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart
• Documentation: Confluence, SharePoint
• Architecture tools (good to have): Sparx EA, LeanIX
• Jira / Azure DevOps (for coordination)
