IT Executive

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Executive to join our two-person IT team and support the IT Manager in managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, user support operations, and security environment across a 200-person organization.

This is a hands-on role that will work closely with the IT Manager on day-to-day IT operations, systems administration, network reliability, cloud management, endpoint security, and IT projects.

Key responsibilities:

1. IT Operations & User Support (35%)

• Provide day-to-day IT support to users and ensure prompt resolution of IT-related issues and requests.
• Follow established IT helpdesk procedures, escalation workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Balance daily user support requirements with ongoing IT projects, system upgrades, and maintenance activities.

2. Infrastructure & Systems Administration (35%)

• Support the maintenance of company-wide IT infrastructure, identity management (e.g., Azure AD / Entra ID, Microsoft 365), and cloud/SaaS tools.
• Manage remote endpoint management (MDM) for approximately 300 devices, including laptops, mobile devices, hardware provisioning, and deprovisioning.
• Support reliable data backup routines, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness (3-2-1 backup strategy).

3. Cybersecurity & Compliance (20%)

• Implement and maintain corporate cybersecurity standards, including MFA deployment, zero-trust policies, endpoint protection, and patch management.
• Assist with regular security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and user access audits.
• Support the IT Manager in handling technical escalations and responding to cybersecurity incidents or threats.

4. Vendor & Asset Management (10%)

• Coordinate with IT vendors on hardware procurement, software licensing, ISP/SaaS service agreements, and technical support matters.
• Maintain a central IT asset register, including hardware lifecycle tracking, software subscriptions, and maintenance schedules.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or technical support.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Windows/macOS endpoint management.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or Google Workspace).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, DNS, routers, switches, and zero-trust remote access.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a small IT team, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
