Job Description: Desktop Support Engineer Industry: Healthcare / Diagnostic Laboratory Department: Information Technology (IT)

Qualification: Any IT related Diploma/Degree
Salary: 18 k to 25k

Job Type: Full-Time

1. Desktop & Technical Support

· Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.

· Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and application-related issues.

· Provide timely technical support to laboratory staff, front-desk teams, billing, accounts, and other departments.

· Handle IT support requests and resolve technical issues within defined timelines.

2. Networking & Connectivity

· Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, internet, and network connectivity issues.

· Assist in maintaining network printers, and other networking devices.

· Support IP configuration, shared folders, and network resource access.

3. Laboratory Software & Equipment Support

· Provide basic technical support for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS/LIS) and laboratory management software.

· Coordinate with the software support team to resolve application-related issues.

· Assist with the connectivity and configuration of laboratory instruments, barcode printers, barcode scanners, and report-printing systems.

4. System Administration & Security

· Install and update Windows operating systems, drivers, antivirus software, and business applications.

· Assist with user account management, access permissions, and system security.

· Maintain IT asset records, software inventories, and equipment maintenance logs.

5. IT Operations & Coordination

· Provide remote and on-site IT support to laboratory branches and collection centres as required.

· Coordinate with internet service providers, hardware vendors, and software support teams.

· Ensure minimum downtime of critical IT systems used in laboratory operations.

· Responsible handling of patient-related information and confidential data.
