IT Executive (L2)

Our client is looking for an IT Executive to be the go-to person for Level 2 IT support across their offices and systems. You'll solve real problems for real users, from laptops and Office 365 to servers, cloud and business applications, while helping build smarter monitoring and automation so fewer issues happen in the first place.

What You'll Do

• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 incidents across end-user devices, servers, cloud services and applications
• Prioritise and track tickets in the ITSM system, escalate where needed, and follow up after resolution
• Install, configure and maintain workstations, peripherals, network hardware and servers
• Perform preventive maintenance and help keep the IT asset inventory up to date
• Write and maintain knowledge base articles, and run post-incident reviews with the Level 1 team
• Spot recurring issues and work on fixes, better monitoring and alerting
• Automate routine tasks and streamline ticket workflows through scripting or with the development team
• Assess mobile and web apps before release, and research hardware and software for purchase
• Train end users and support the Level 1 team when workload is high

Requirements

• Diploma in IT or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in IT support
• Good working knowledge of Office 365 (user, licence and mailbox administration, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online)

Good to have

• ITIL Foundation certification
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Windows 10 and MS SQL Server
• Experience supporting IIS and .NET applications
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python or Bash)
• Apple mobile device support and MDM (Intune/AirWatch)
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
