IT Executive (Microsoft Infrastructure, Security & Cloudflare)

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on IT Executive to manage and support our Microsoft infrastructure, cloud, identity and security environment, together with our Cloudflare services. You will be responsible for keeping our infrastructure secure, reliable and well-optimised, while also supporting automation, light DevOps activities and continuous improvement. This is a technical individual contributor role — you will be expected to troubleshoot, implement and maintain systems independently rather than manage a team.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Manage Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online, including mailboxes, distribution lists, mail flow and retention.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including user lifecycle, MFA, Conditional Access and hybrid identity.
• Manage domain controllers, certificates and related domain operations.
• Support Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Manage Cloudflare DNS, routing, CDN, caching and SSL/TLS.
• Configure and maintain WAF, DDoS protection, firewall rules, rate limiting and other security controls.
• Support Cloudflare Zero Trust, including Access, Tunnel and Gateway.
• Monitor Cloudflare analytics, security events and performance, and respond to incidents.
• Use PowerShell to automate routine IT tasks and improve operational efficiency.

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in systems administration or infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Windows Server & Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS & DHCP, Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, hybrid identity, and Cloudflare DNS, CDN, WAF and SSL/TLS.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VPNs and firewalls.
• Practical PowerShell scripting experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of technical issues.
