A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT, Facility & Operations Technician

The Facilities & Operations Technician oversees and executes a variety of facility and operational initiatives in partnership with Information Technology leadership. This role is responsible for coordinating projects, managing day-to-day operational activities, and ensuring the successful implementation and completion of assigned initiatives. This role will spend the most time managing facility equipment, furniture, appliances, supplies, and climate control needs; responding to maintenance requests, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with building management and contractors; performing documented inspections and preventative maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems; and supporting facility improvements, office moves, space planning, and business continuity efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Related experience in facilities management, operations, and basic computer knowledge
• Basic building maintenance solutions
• Experience in commercial office and Medical Laboratory facilities
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Strong people skills and problem-solving abilities

SCHEDULE

• 8+ hours per day. Some days will require being on-site before business hours or after business hours. Some weekend work may be required.
