Posizione

We are looking for an IT Facility Operator to join our Local IT Infrastructure team.

The IT Facility Operator supports the day-to-day operation, coordination, and monitoring of technology-enabled workplace facilities, helping ensure that the local office remains functional, efficient, safe, and ready to support business activities.

Working in alignment with corporate standards and procedures, the role focuses on operational coordination, service monitoring, documentation, vendor management, and first-line assistance for workplace technology and related facility services.

The position offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the office environment through a combination of organizational, technical, and coordination activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the operational status of workplace technology and shared facilities, including meeting rooms, telephony, access control systems, security systems, printers, and office equipment.
• Support routine operational checks, identify potential issues, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions with internal teams or external providers.
• Manage facility-related incidents and service requests through ServiceNow, ensuring accurate tracking, prioritization, follow-up, and escalation when necessary.
• Coordinate scheduled maintenance, technical interventions, equipment replacements, and supplier activities in collaboration with the relevant teams.
• Act as a local point of contact for workplace technology services, meeting room equipment, telephony, and technology-related facility requests.
• Maintain and update equipment inventories, maintenance records, warranties, technical documentation, and asset lifecycle information.
• Monitor vendor activities, service delivery, and outstanding actions, supporting compliance with agreed service levels and operational requirements.
• Contribute to office changes, workplace improvements, installations, and local projects through planning, documentation, and operational coordination.
• Support business continuity, workplace safety, and security procedures in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• Provide basic first-line technical and operational assistance when required, involving specialist teams for more complex activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in facility operations, workplace services, IT support coordination, technical administration, or similar operational roles is appreciated.
• Basic knowledge of workplace technology, including meeting room systems, telephony, printers, access control, and office IT equipment.
• Familiarity with service request management, maintenance coordination, asset inventories, or operational documentation.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms is considered an advantage.
• Basic understanding of IT service management principles and ITIL practices is a plus.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external service providers.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken Italian and English.

In compliance with applicable pay transparency legislation, we provide the following information regarding the initial remuneration envisaged for this position.

The position will be classified within the Employee category, at one of the C2, C3, B1 or B2 levels under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria).

The classification level and any additional remuneration components supplementing the base salary will be determined based on an assessment, carried out during the selection process, of objective and neutral criteria such as, by way of example, the candidate’s professional experience, technical skills, level of autonomy and the responsibilities required by the role.
