IT Field Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and customer-focused IT Field Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. The successful candidate will work directly with clients and internal teams to ensure IT services operate reliably, securely, and efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working on-site, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining a strong focus on quality and professionalism.

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and end users.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, and IT infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, application, and connectivity issues.
• Configure and support desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and network equipment.
• Perform system upgrades, maintenance, and preventive support activities.
• Assist with network configuration, including LAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and VPNs.
• Install and configure Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and related applications.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in accordance with company policies.
• Respond to support requests and ensure issues are resolved within agreed service levels.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, configurations, and solutions accurately.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or relevant technical teams when required.
• Assist with IT projects, system deployments, office moves, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and communicate technical informationclearly to non-technical users.

Relevant desirable skills and experience:

• Experience in an IT support, desktop support, field engineer, or technical support role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic
• networking.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches.
• Experience with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IT service management and ticketing systems.
• Experience with Azure, Intune, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), or cloud technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with endpoint security, antivirus solutions, and basic cybersecurity practices.
• Experience working with SAP, ERP systems, or other business applications is desirable.
• Ability to travel to customer sites when required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A valid driver's licence is an advantage where the role requires regular travel.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
