IT Field Engineer - Hybrid

A long established and home grown business software provider is seeking an ICT Field Service Engineer to join its customer support and infrastructure team in Dundalk. This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with customers and supporting a broad range of technologies.

The role combines remote and onsite technical support with infrastructure projects, upgrades and migrations. You’ll support customer networks, servers and Microsoft 365 environments, taking ownership of issues and helping maintain secure, reliable IT systems. Regular travel to customer sites is required.

What you need

• At least 2 years’ experience in an ICT support, infrastructure or engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop and Windows Server environments.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
• A good understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Familiarity with virtualisation, backup and recovery technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to take technical issues through to resolution.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
