IT Field Technician

Overview

Dexko Tech Solutions is a Houston-based technology services and commercial maintenance company serving clients across the region. We are looking for technicians all over the USA. As an IT Field Technician, you will be our boots on the ground traveling to client sites to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair technical equipment and systems. You are the face of Dexko in the field, and you take that seriously.

What You'll Do

• Installation & Configuration

Unbox, assemble, and configure new hardware, networking equipment, and systems at client locations. Ensure all setups are tested, documented, and operational before leaving the site.

• Troubleshooting & Repair

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site with speed and precision. Resolve hardware failures, connectivity problems, and software errors minimizing downtime for our clients.

• Preventative Maintenance

Conduct scheduled inspections and routine maintenance on client equipment. Identify and address potential failure points before they become service interruptions.

• Client Communication

Translate technical issues into plain language for clients. Walk end users through proper equipment operation, answer questions on-site, and represent Dexko Tech Solutions professionally at every visit.

• Documentation & Reporting

Complete accurate service reports for every job. Log all parts used, work performed, and time on-site. Maintain service records that support billing, warranties, and future maintenance planning.

What We're Looking For

Technical Knowledge Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and basic network diagrams. Experience with hardware, cabling, and IT infrastructure.

Valid Driver's License Clean driving record required. Must be able to safely operate a vehicle to client locations.

Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. stand for extended periods, and work in varied environments (indoors and outdoors).

Experience 1-3years of field service, IT support, or related technical role preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience considered.

Reliability & Accountability Punctual, organized, and self-managed. Comfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervision.

Pay: $25.79 - $31.06 per hour
