IT functional analyst

MISSION CONTEXT

AG Insurance Information Systems (IS) is responsible for delivering a challenging business roadmap over the coming years. The IT department consists of around 100 people organized in multiple teams with end-to-end responsibilities, covering all software developments for insurance-related applications.

The applications are developed on a Microfocus mainframe emulator in Windows (COBOL / Mix COBOL+.NET), with various technologies on the frontend (.NET, CRM), printing, integration and communication side.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

•        Translate business requirements into structured IT solutions while maintaining a functional approach and respecting standards

•        Help translate functional designs into well-tailored technical designs

•        Prepare functional integration test cases based on business requirements

•        Test the product before delivery to end users

•        Analyse potential corrective actions and propose solutions

•        Coordinate technical designers and programmers during implementation of functionalities

•        Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure the final solution meets their needs

•        Report to your manager and project leaders on the progress of your work

•        Actively support project leaders in project implementation

PROFILE & EXPERIENCE

Mandatory

•        2 to 5 years of experience as IT Functional Analyst, ideally in a large company with direct contact with business stakeholders

•        Experience in Non-Life underwriting insurance

•        Experience with multi-layer applications

•        Bachelor or Master in Engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent by experience

Preferred

•        Experience in Non-Life claims insurance

•        Knowledge of document management

•        SQL knowledge

•        Project management principles — Prince2 methodology

•        Test management principles (TMAP)

•        Knowledge of technical analysis

LANGUAGES

•        Dutch or French — fluent in at least one (mandatory), basic in the second

•        English — good level (mandatory)
