IT Functional Lead

Role Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Delivery Ownership

• Lead and manage a team of Business Analysts to deliver high-quality outputs (Impact Analysis, Functional Specification, User Stories)
• Own end-to-end requirement delivery across project lifecycle (initiation to production)
• Act as a key point of contact between Business, IT, and Vendors
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and system capabilities

2. Requirement & Business Analysis

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs in Collection domain
• Drive requirement elicitation workshops and refine requirements into clear deliverables
• Ensure completeness, clarity, and traceability of requirements

3. Impact Analysis (Core Responsibility)

• Lead and review end-to-end Impact Analysis across systems, interfaces, and downstream processes

• Identify risks, dependencies, and system impacts (e.g., LOS, Core Lending, Credit Bureau, Payment systems)

• Ensure impact coverage includes:

  • System / Application impact
  • Data & Interface impact
  • Operational & Process impact

• Validate feasibility with Architecture and Development teams before commitment

4. Functional Specification Excellence (Core Responsibility)

• Ensure delivery of high-quality Functional Specification including:

  • Process flows (As-Is / To-Be)
  • Screen flows / Wireframes
  • Business rules & decision logic (e.g., approval criteria, scoring rules)
  • Data mapping & interface specifications
  • Report definitions

• Review and approve BA outputs to ensure consistency and completeness

• Ensure specifications are aligned with both SDLC documentation standards and Agile artifacts (User Stories, Acceptance Criteria)

5. SDLC & Agile Delivery Management

• Drive delivery under hybrid model (SDLC + Agile)

• In Agile:

  • Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and story clarification
  • Ensure User Stories are well-defined and testable

• In SDLC:

  • Ensure proper documentation, sign-offs, and governance checkpoints

• Monitor delivery timeline, scope, and quality

6. Quality Assurance & Testing Governance

• Ensure completeness of test coverage based on requirements
• Oversee SIT, UAT, and PVT readiness
• Support defect triage and root cause analysis
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and acceptance criteria

7. Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Engage with senior business stakeholders to align priorities and expectations
• Provide clear recommendations and solution options with impact trade-offs
• Communicate risks, issues, and dependencies proactively

8. Process Improvement & Governance

• Drive continuous improvement in BA practices, templates, and standards
• Establish best practices for Impact Analysis and Functional Specification
• Improve requirement lifecycle management and traceability (e.g., RTM)

9. Vendor & Application Management

• Manage outsourced vendors and ensure deliverables meet quality standards
• Oversee application maintenance and enhancement lifecycle

Qualifications:

1.      Minimum 10–15 years experience in Business Analysis / System Analysis / IT Delivery

2.      At least 3–5 years in leadership or team lead role

3.      Strong experience in Banking / Lending, preferably Auto Loan / Hire Purchase

4.      Solid experience in Loan Origination System (LOS) and related ecosystems

5.      Strong expertise in:

• Impact Analysis
• Functional Specification
• SDLC & Agile delivery

6.      Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

7.      Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

8.      Proactive, resilient, and able to work under pressure
