Job Purpose

We are seeking a strategic Governance Manager to lead the development, communication, and execution of enterprise governance frameworks, policies, and decision structures. This role is central to strengthening compliance, improving operating models, and enabling technology and process transformation across the organization.

You will influence senior stakeholders, uplift project and supplier governance, and embed knowledge-sharing practices that improve accountability, transparency, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Policy Leadership

• Establish, implement, and continuously enhance governance frameworks and operating structures.
• Define clear decision rights, authorities, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory obligations and industry best practices.
• Drive standardization of governance forums and controls.

Process Design & IT / Operating Model Transformation

• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, service quality, and organizational alignment.
• Drive transformation of systems, services, and technology environments.
• Develop and refine project management guidelines and ensure adoption.
• Partner with delivery teams to embed best practices.

Continuous Improvement & Strategy

• Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities to strengthen governance maturity.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional governance initiatives.
• Provide informed recommendations based on emerging trends.

Knowledge Management

• Implement mechanisms to capture, curate, and share institutional knowledge.
• Foster collaboration and communities of practice.

Reporting & Assurance

• Maintain accurate governance documentation and audit trails.
• Deliver executive-level reporting to senior leaders and oversight groups.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor to executives and functional leaders.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, finance, and compliance stakeholders.
• Liaise with external advisors and regulators as required.

Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in governance, operating model, or transformation roles.
• Proven ability to design and implement governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting digital / IT environment change.
• Strong background in supplier, risk, and project governance methodologies.
• Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management capability.
• Sound understanding of regulatory and industry expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Law, Governance, or related discipline.
• Governance or process certifications highly regarded.
