IT Infra Support Engineer

• Handling of a wide variety of technical support tasks, including workstation and

laptop deployment, configuration, software installation, troubleshooting and hardware diagnosis, repair and maintenance.

• Excellent understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, with higher emphasis towards Linux OS. Knowledge of Redhat/Centos/Ubuntu Linux patching and administration essential.
• Knowledge of the following systems preferrable but not critical: NetApp (Storage), Veeam (Backup), Iventoy (Image deployment), ESX VMware & Proxmox (virtualization), Zabbix/Grafna (host monitoring), NiceDCV (remote display), FlexLM (licensing) , Ansible (linux script automation)
• Excellent understanding of networking and file sharing protocols to be able to debug issues between client and server machines. NFS, SMB , samba etc.
• Excellent understanding of Windows AD structure and administration within corporate OU segregated domains
• Good understanding of cyber security procedures and ability to follow corporate security guidelines at all times
• Customer-focused approach, providing a customer care philosophy that emphasizes customer satisfaction.
• Research and resolution of desktop support issues. Tracking, monitoring and documentation of issues to ensure timely resolution, reporting and history keeping using corporate ServiceNow system.
• Effective communication with other support team members and R&D staff with the ability

to express ideas effectively in order to make informed decisions.

• Documentation for support methods.
• Administration and maintenance of hardware and software inventory database.
• Administration of incident queue to include ticket assignment and escalation.
