IT Infra Team Head

Job Purpose

Lead the IT Infrastructure team — spanning systems, network, DevOps, and data operations — ensuring the stability, performance, security, and cost-effective management of all IT infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments, in line with the CIO's expectations for infrastructure uptime, fast issue resolution, and efficient resource management.

Job Responsibility:

• Infrastructure Leadership: Lead the System, Network, DevOps, and Data Ops teams, setting direction to ensure availability, performance, and security across cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy: Own the cloud and on-premise infrastructure strategy, including capacity planning and cost optimization.
• Reliability & Incident Oversight: Ensure proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and system recovery meet agreed SLA and uptime targets across all infrastructure domains.
• Security & Compliance Oversight: Ensure infrastructure meets organizational security, governance, and regulatory standards; oversee related audits and certifications.
• Business Continuity: Own business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, and drills.
• DevOps Enablement: Champion DevOps and CI/CD adoption in partnership with the development teams.
• Team & Vendor Management: Develop the infrastructure team and manage vendor/outsourced service relationships and contracts.
• Budget & Stakeholder Reporting: Manage the infrastructure budget and report performance, risk, and cost to the CIO and stakeholders.
• Delegated Decision Authority (per CIO direction):
• Definition of hardware and system software standards.
• Planning and management of network infrastructure.
• Management of disaster recovery drills and processes.
• Capacity planning and infrastructure cost management.

Job Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in IT management or cloud technologies are a plus.
• Fluent in Thai & English
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management , with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing system, network, database, DevOps, and cloud teams.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including cloud-native applications, automation, and management tools
• Expertise in managing and optimizing cloud resources for cost-efficiency and scalability.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including systems, networks, databases, and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and their integration within cloud environments.
• Cloud Security & Compliance: Strong background in cloud security, governance, and compliance (e.g., AWS Well-Architected Framework, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
• Proactive Monitoring: Demonstrated ability to implement proactive monitoring strategies across both cloud and on-premise environments. Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and other monitoring platforms to ensure system health.
• DevOps & Automation: Proven experience in driving DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline implementation, infrastructure automation, and integrating development and operations teams in a cloud environment.
• Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative culture. Ability to mentor and develop talent, and manage team performance.
• Budget & Cost Management: Experience managing budgets for large IT teams and infrastructure projects, including cloud cost optimization strategies to ensure efficient use of cloud resources.
• Project Management: Solid experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations.
• Vendor Management: Strong vendor management skills, with experience negotiating contracts and managing external cloud providers and service agreements.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear and actionable reports and recommendations.
• Certifications: Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, ITIL, PMP, and cloud security certifications are highly desirable.
