Working as an infrastructure generalist, the successful candidate will install, configure, and support Windows servers; manage Active Directory and core network services; deploy and maintain virtual machines; contribute to automation and scripting initiatives; and help ensure secure, reliable infrastructure services for teams across Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and connected global sites.

Work Environment / Location:

  • Based in the APAC region — candidate may be located in Malaysia, Singapore, or the Philippines
  • Supports a multi-site, multi-country infrastructure environment in collaboration with global IT teams
  • Hybrid or office-based arrangement depending on local site and business needs
  • Less than 10% travel (occasional regional or international travel may be required)

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, optimise, and maintain Windows servers (physical and virtual) across multi-site environments.
  • Install, configure, optimise, and maintain enterprise-class network and storage infrastructure.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines in a mixed hypervisor environment.
  • Provide technical support and expertise for servers that may be physical, virtual, or remote.
  • Configure and administer Active Directory, including users, security groups, organisational units, and group policies.
  • Manage and troubleshoot core services and protocols including DNS, DHCP, FTP, SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, and IIS web sites.
  • Configure and maintain System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) monitors and alerts.
  • Maintain Windows Server operational lifecycle using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or equivalent endpoint/server management tools.
  • Plan, implement, and troubleshoot system security policy, including host and client communications through firewalls, file permissions, and user rights.
  • Support enterprise-class network systems (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, FortiGate, or similar) for day-to-day operations, routing, VLANs, and firewall rule sets.
  • Research, evaluate, install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, and related equipment.
  • Contribute to automation and scripting for systems support, integration, and monitoring (PowerShell, Python, or bash).
  • Create and maintain documentation of systems processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Participate in incident response and project work; prioritise and multitask effectively in a multi-site environment.
  • Work with internal customers and team members to ensure configurations follow corporate security policies and control standards.
  • Identify opportunities for infrastructure and process improvements; assist with proof-of-concept and production implementations under guidance from senior engineers.

  • All other reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or AAS/equivalent diploma) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, plus 3–5 years of related work experience as a systems or infrastructure engineer in an enterprise-class Windows environment; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012 through current releases in production environments.
  • Solid working knowledge of Active Directory, including users, security groups, OUs, sites, group policies and inheritance, FSMO roles, and DNS integration.
  • Practical experience with enterprise-class networking sufficient to implement firewall rule sets, manage and troubleshoot routing configurations, VLANs, and typical network operational tasks (TCP/IP, Layer 2 & 3).
  • Working understanding of enterprise-class storage systems and architectures for daily operations, troubleshooting, and basic performance tuning.
  • Experience with standard services and protocols such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, NTP, and SFTP.
  • Ability to methodically troubleshoot services and protocols using event logs, application logs, and packet-analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
