IT Intern

About the role

Sert Technology Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT Intern to join our development team in General Trias City, Cavite. This is a full-time position designed to provide you with practical, hands-on experience in the information and communication technology sector, specifically within software development and programming. As an IT Intern, you will work alongside experienced developers and gain valuable exposure to real-world projects, industry practices, and professional software development methodologies. What you'll be doing

• Assisting senior developers in designing, coding, and testing software applications and systems
• Writing clean, maintainable code under the guidance of experienced team members
• Participating in code reviews and implementing feedback to improve code quality
• Testing software applications to identify and document bugs and issues
• Collaborating with the development team on various projects and initiatives
• Supporting the maintenance and updates of existing software systems
• Learning and applying industry-standard development tools, frameworks, and technologies
• Contributing to technical documentation and project-related materials
• Attending team meetings and staying updated with development practices and standards

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language (such as Java, Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript)
• Basic understanding of software development concepts, object-oriented programming, and data structures
• Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and best practices
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment
• Experience with web development, mobile development, or database management is a plus
