About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT Intern to join our Help Desk and IT Support team at our Taytay, Rizal office. This is a full-time internship position that offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in Information Technology whilst supporting our internal technical operations. As an IT Intern, you will work alongside experienced IT professionals, providing essential support to ensure our systems and networks run smoothly. This role is instrumental in helping us maintain operational efficiency and supporting the digital infrastructure that enables our construction and engineering operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users, responding to IT helpdesk tickets and resolving common hardware and software issues
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring company IT systems, networks, and infrastructure
• Support the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, and other IT equipment
• Help with user account management, password resets, and access provisioning under supervision
• Document technical issues and solutions in the IT ticketing system for future reference
• Participate in IT infrastructure projects and upgrades as assigned
• Assist in performing routine system backups and data management tasks
• Support IT staff in conducting basic network diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Maintain IT asset inventory and help track hardware and software resources
• Contribute to the implementation of IT security best practices and policies

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong foundational knowledge of IT fundamentals, including hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and TCP/IP protocols
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting technical issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Keen attention to detail and organisational skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced technical environment
• Professional demeanour and commitment to customer service excellence
• Preferred experience with IT ticketing systems or help desk software
• Preferred knowledge of cloud computing or enterprise IT environments
