Handel Architects is an award-winning, full-service architecture and interiors firm dedicated to bringing design excellence to urban environments throughout the world.  Our three offices are in San Francisco, New York and Hong Kong.  The San Francisco office is comprised of a group of talented architects, designers and support staff.  We bring passion, motivation and energy to designing spaces that will make a positive impact on people’s lives and the urban realm.

Our San Francisco office is currently looking for a part-time IT intern, who can provide dedicated support to our staff during normal business hours. Our ideal candidate would be working towards a degree in the technology field and demonstrates a general interest in the architecture and design industry. Important qualities include the ability to perform the required tasks and projects independently, as well as strong interpersonal skills, as this role will assist our users on a daily basis. Their performance will be overseen by local office leadership and as well the IT Director located at Handel Architects headquarters in New York City.  We offer the ability to gain hands-on experience in an IT position, a flexible schedule for students and competitive compensation.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s program in Computer Science or a related field

• Knowledge of basic PC components and technology

• Ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

• Communicate effectively and clearly, both verbally and in written form

• Friendly and optimistic disposition, able to interface with all levels of staff members

Responsibilities:

• Assist in helping users troubleshoot issues in software including:

  • Windows 11

  • MS Office 365

  • Adobe Creative Cloud

  • Along with production software such as:

    • Revit 2021-2026

    • AutoCAD 2023

    • Rhino 8

• MS Active Directory tasks such as user account creation, password resets, provide users access to projects

• SharePoint / FTP site creation and monitoring for projects

• Support printers and copiers

• Provide support of mobile devices such as Apple IOS, Android phones and tablets

• Conference Room technology setup and maintenance including displays, phones and software support for conferencing programs such as MS Teams, Zoom and GoToMeeting

• Setup new workstations, as needed

• Roll out workstations with the company’s custom image

• Keep track and log technology equipment for inventory purposes

• Act as hands, eyes and ears for occasional server/ network troubleshooting and upgrades

• Update technical documentation and procedures
