IT INTERN - Desktop Support

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT Desktop Support INTERN to join our team at CTC Global Pte. Ltd. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch their career in the IT industry and gain practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing organisation. This is a 6-month contract period that will provide you with the valuable exposure to add to your experience. You will work alongside experienced professionals who are committed to mentoring and supporting your development throughout your internship.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate desktops to Windows OS
• Provide on-site support for desktop hardware, desktop applications, emails, printer and network related issues
• Install, de-install, configure and support MS Windows OS, MS Windows applications and other user applications
• Perform on-site break/fix problem troubleshooting and resolution
• Perform hardware and software moves, adds and changes
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Invoke problem escalation process to next level of support
• Carry out project roll out and installation

About you

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Diploma or Degree programme in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with users and stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Strong interest in IT service management, end-user support, infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, or digital workplace solutions
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies
• Ability to handle technical issues with professionalism while maintaining confidentiality of company and user information
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with support teams, vendors, and users across all levels of the organisation
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, quality work
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and gain practical experience in an enterprise IT environment
