IT INTERN - PC Leasing

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions related to PC leasing, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

This person will play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive seamless, efficient, and reliable service, thereby enhancing their overall experience with our products and services.

This is a 6-month contract period that will provide you with the valuable exposure to add to your experience; an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch their career in the IT industry and gain practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to clients for PC leasing issues, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop, laptops, monitors and printers.
• Assist in managing the PC leasing process, from order intake to delivery, ensuring all transactions are handled accurately and efficiently.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to leased PCs. This may include hardware or software problems, network connectivity issues, or system performance concerns.
• Configure, set up, and customize leased PCs according to client specifications and requirements.
• Ensure all leased PCs are up-to-date with the latest software updates, security patches, and system maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of all PC leasing activities, including client interactions, technical support provided, system configurations, and maintenance records.
• Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and management to ensure clear understanding of client needs, technical issues, and resolution status.
• Provide training to clients or internal staff on the basic use and maintenance of leased PCs, as required.
• Ensure all technical support provided adheres to quality standards and client satisfaction levels.

About you

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated with a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interest in PC leasing or IT support.
• Experience with PC hardware, software, and networking is essential.
• Proficient in PC hardware and software, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and IT support tools is a must.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with users and stakeholders.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues in a simple, understandable manner to clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize work effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
