IT Lab Assistant

NJV School Management Board is looking for a responsible and technically capable Lab Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the computer lab. The ideal candidate should have basic technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to assist teachers and students in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and students with the day-to-day operation of the computer lab.
• Ensure computers, monitors, peripherals, printers, and other lab equipment are properly maintained and operational.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
• Prepare computers and required software/applications before practical classes.
• Monitor the proper use of lab computers and ensure compliance with IT and lab policies.
• Maintain accurate records of computer equipment, accessories, repairs, and technical issues.
• Assist with the installation, updating, and configuration of software as directed by the IT Department.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and security of the computer lab.
• Provide technical assistance during computer-based classes, examinations, and other school activities.
• Coordinate with the IT Department regarding equipment issues, maintenance, and other technical requirements.

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum Qualification: Intermediate, preferably in Computer Science / IT, or Diploma in Computer Science.
• Preferred Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in a computer lab, educational institution, school, college, or IT support environment.
