About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead and scale our offshore IT/COE operations in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in people leadership, software development, IT strategy, offshore team setup, and capital markets/trading/wealth management domain.

The candidate will work closely with the IT Director and HODs at the main office to drive technology strategy, projects, processes, and team growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for the COE IT department.
• Lead and manage large offshore development teams of 80+ professionals.
• Set up, scale, and optimize offshore IT teams and operations.
• Drive recruitment, talent development, employee engagement, and retention.
• Establish and optimize IT processes for efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Plan and oversee IT projects in collaboration with HODs and business stakeholders.
• Work closely with the IT Director and main office IT team on technology initiatives.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective collaboration across distributed teams.
• Drive adoption of modern software development practices, Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Ensure adherence to security and technology best practices.
• Identify opportunities for technology/process improvements.
• Manage operational challenges and provide effective solutions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, including Agentic AI and GitHub Copilot.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Strong leadership experience managing 80+ member software/development teams.

• Proven experience in setting up and scaling offshore IT teams.

• Strong people management, recruitment, talent retention, and team-building skills.

• Deep understanding of:

• SDLC

• DevOps

• Cloud Technologies

• IT Security

• Microservices Architecture

• CI/CD Pipelines

• Agile Methodologies

• Good understanding of IT systems and enterprise technology environments.

• Exposure to technology stacks such as:

• C# / .NET

• Experience working with distributed/global teams and different time zones.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Domain Experience Mandatory

Candidates must have experience in one or more of the following domains:

Trading / Capital Markets / Wealth Management

Preferred / Added Advantage

• Exposure to Agentic AI
• Experience with GitHub Copilot
• TOGAF Certification
• AWS Certification
