IT Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Manager to drive our technical operations and software delivery. In this role, you will take full ownership of our internal technology ecosystem, transforming high-level business goals into robust, high-performance digital products. You will manage a lean team of developers, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our consumer-facing platforms while fostering an engineering culture built on technical excellence and best practices. This role is ideal for a seasoned technical leader who excels at bridging project lifecycles with rigorous execution, ensuring systems are optimized to support a fast-growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Personally write clean, production-ready code, design scalable backend architectures, and build reusable component libraries for our multi-brand B2C platforms (including CRM, POS, and booking engines)
• Directly oversee a lean, agile engineering team. Foster a collaborative culture through daily pair programming, rigorous code reviews, and active technical mentorship
• Build and maintain scalable APIs and data pipelines that connect internal platforms with external tools (such as Facebook Graph API, GA/GTM, marketing automation, and Consent Management Platforms)
• Personally design structured data models and data warehouse layers to enable advanced business intelligence, reporting, and predictive analytics
• Implement and optimize CI/CD deployment pipelines, manage containerized environments (Docker), and configure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) to guarantee platform security and uptime

About you

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a strictly technical discipline
• Minimum of 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 2-3 years of proven experience concurrently supervising technical teams while remaining fully hands-on with engineering tasks
• Advanced, production-level proficiency in modern programming languages (such as Node.js, React.js, Java, Python, or PHP)
• Direct experience designing and optimizing databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and managing modern data infrastructure (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Deep familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) workflows and strong practical experience with Serverless architecture, containerization, and DevOps automation
• A strong track record in high-transaction B2C sectors (e.g., Retail, E-commerce, FinTech, Hospitality, or Healthcare)
• Fluency in Cantonese is a must
