IT Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Information Technology Manager to lead the group's IT function. This is a hands-on leadership role: the successful candidate will own the strategy, design and delivery of all internal systems and digital infrastructure across the group, and will personally build and maintain much of it. The IT function is small relative to the company's size, so the role requires someone who can architect, develop, secure and operate systems end to end rather than manage vendors to do so.

Key responsibilities

• Own the strategy, architecture and delivery of all internal systems across seven international offices
• Design, build and maintain the company's internal web platform (React, Node.js) and its supporting automation layer (100+ production workflows)
• Lead Microsoft 365 architecture and governance: Entra ID, SharePoint, Exchange Online, security groups, Graph API and tenant administration
• Own the company's cybersecurity posture: email security (SPF/DKIM/DMARC, transport rules, threat intelligence), identity security, incident response and access governance
• Lead the ERP migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central alongside the vendor and internal stakeholders, including master data preparation and integration
• Design and deploy AI-assisted systems: document classification, retrieval-augmented assistants over technical and policy documentation, and helpdesk automation
• Manage self-hosted cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker), including backup, monitoring and disaster recovery
• Own the helpdesk platform (Zendesk) and its automation across all offices
• Lead and coordinate IT operations and support across all offices and time zones
• Prepare IT governance, security planning and reporting for the directors

About you

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience demonstrated through a documented track record
• Minimum 5 years' experience in IT systems delivery, including at least 2 years in a lead or management capacity
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain production web applications (React, Node.js, PostgreSQL) and REST integrations, as a sole or lead developer
• Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n or equivalent) at scale
• Microsoft 365 tenant administration across Entra ID, Exchange Online and SharePoint, including Graph API and PowerShell
• Practical email and identity security experience, including incident investigation and response
• Experience with ERP implementation or migration; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central strongly preferred
• Experience deploying and operating self-hosted services on cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) with Docker
• Working knowledge of applied AI / LLM integration (retrieval pipelines, document classification, vector databases)
• Fluent English essential; Cantonese and/or Mandarin an advantage
