What they need
Description
Capital Machine Technologies is now hiring for an IT Manager for their Information Technology Department in Tampa, FL.
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on IT Manager for our multi-location operations. Working in coordination with our external IT partners, this role owns hardware, software, network security, and ERP & CRM systems across all sites, and participates in the Change Management Committee to help guide system upgrades, process improvements, and user enhancements. The successful candidate will be a working manager — equally comfortable setting IT strategy for leadership and resolving an end-user issue directly.
Capital Machine Technologies is a leading distributor of advanced metal fabrication equipment, providing machinery, software, and service solutions across multiple technology showrooms. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Change Management Participation: Actively participate in the Change Management Committee for the ERP & CRM systems, helping sequence upgrades, driving process improvements, and managing the intake and delivery of user enhancement requests.
IT Strategy & Budgeting: Develop and execute the IT roadmap with executive leadership, including annual capital and operating budget input, standardization initiatives, and project prioritization.
BI Reporting & Analytics: Design and implement reports, dashboards and analytic requests into actional information requested by management.
Vendor & Partner Coordination: Manage outside vendors, managed service providers, and implementation partners — scopes of work, escalations, service levels, and renewals.
New User Setup & Device Provisioning: Manage new hire onboarding, including account and access setup, along with provisioning and configuring devices and equipment across all locations.
End-User Support: Provide direct, hands-on support to end users across all locations, resolving hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues.
Network & Infrastructure Management: Administer network infrastructure, firewalls, wireless, servers, and end-user hardware across multiple sites.
Microsoft 365 & Azure Administration: Own day-to-day administration of the Microsoft 365 tenant (identity, licensing, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, security policies) and the Azure cloud environment, including provisioning and cost management.
Cybersecurity & Compliance: Maintain endpoint protection, patch management, access controls, multi-factor authentication, and end-user security awareness; enforce and document compliance standards required by insurers, auditors, and lenders.
Multi-Site Deployments: Lead technology deployments across locations and showrooms, including site build-outs, equipment refreshes, and hardware/software provisioning.
Documentation: Maintain documentation of network topology, systems, licensing, asset inventory, vendor contracts, and standard operating procedures.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
7 to 10 years of diverse IT experience in hardware, software, networks, and ERP & CRM systems.
Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration and Azure cloud infrastructure experience.
Demonstrated experience supporting ERP & CRM systems, including upgrades, enhancement requests, and user adoption.
Experienced in cybersecurity best practices, disaster recovery design, and IT compliance frameworks.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and executives.
Ability to balance project work against day-to-day support demands.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to company locations as required.
Preferred Skills
Multi-entity or multi-site distribution, manufacturing, or industrial experience.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SuperOffice CRM, or comparable mid-market ERP & CRM platforms.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, CompTIA, ITIL, PMP, or security certifications).
Integrating ERP & CRM systems with downstream reporting platforms.
Knowledge of business intelligence and dashboard reporting tools such as PowerBI
Experience managing IT through a system implementation, migration, or acquisition integration.
