IT Manager (Data Centre Operation)

About the business

A large-scale technology and innovation organization operating mission-critical IT infrastructure, data centre facilities, and digital services that support a diverse community of tenants, startups, corporate partners, and stakeholders. They are looking for seasoned IT Manager to support the IT services within the organisation.

What you will focus...

General Operations Management

• Establish and manage support services for enterprise software, hardware, and IT systems.
• Ensure day-to-day IT operations follow industry best practices and achieve agreed service KPIs.
• Oversee daily data centre operations and critical facilities management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Assist in annual and monthly OPEX/CAPEX budgeting and resource planning.
• Drive ITIL adoption and governance across internal teams and outsourced service providers.
• Maintain operational procedures, documentation, and standards to ensure service consistency and compliance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to deliver reliable IT services and meet SLA commitments.
• Monitor physical security, environmental conditions, and power infrastructure to ensure operational stability and prevent service disruptions.

Incident & Change Management

• Ensure incidents and problems are accurately logged, tracked, and managed by service providers.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring incidents and manual operational tasks.
• Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams during major incidents to minimize business impact.
• Escalate critical incidents to management promptly and provide regular status updates.
• Lead infrastructure change management processes, ensuring appropriate risk assessment, approvals, and compliance with ITIL standards.
• Facilitate and govern Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and change review activities when required.

What makes you an ideal candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in IT operations, service management, or data centre environments.
• Proven experience in implementing and governing ITIL processes; ITIL certification is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of critical facilities infrastructure, including power distribution systems, HVAC/chiller systems, and fire suppression solutions.
• Solid experience in data centre operations, E&M facilities management, IT infrastructure (servers, storage, and networks), and production support environments.
• Relevant professional certifications, such as Registered Electrical Worker (REW) License or Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD), are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization, including vendors, service providers, and internal teams.
• Strong customer-service mindset with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese for business communication.
